Blue Snakeprint Cannes Shoulder Bag
Sunday, 15 April 2012 by Ashley TurowskyCreating this combination was a first for Belen Echandia, and we are more than thrilled with the outcome of this Blue Snakeprint Cannes Shoulder Bag.
We begin with Theresa working on the handles. First she folds one of the handle ends around the rectangular ring. Afterwards, the piece of leather that forms the Cannes handle is folded around a special rope.

We use a special tool called a “cuttlebone”, in order to obtain the perfect adherence without ruining the surface of the leather.

The next step is to do a close stitching to the rope. The extra leather is then cut and painted two or three times to create a border.

Here you can see how the sides are stitched, followed by the side being stitched to the bottom of the bag.

This photo shows the Cannes front panel just after the pockets have been created. You can see how the pockets are wider and the panel so they are more useful.

A stud is fixed just under the leather tab that keeps the rectangular ring. This tab is stitched but the stud is most important to make sure the bag is secure.

Almost done….Franca is placing the drawstring inside the Cannes buttonholes.

And of course the detailed BE tags are created,

and attached.

And here is our lucky customer’s Blue Snakeprint Cannes Shoulder Bag.
