My Current Obsession: Fabulous Preen Dresses
Thursday, 04 February 2010 by Ashley Turowsky I am really looking forward to Preen’s collection to come into stores this Spring. The collection consists of soft sheer fabrics, chiffon and lace, romantically draping the body in layers, ruffles, and knots. The detailing is amazingly precise and adds depth into the dresses.Designers Thea Bregazzi and Justin Thorton said the idea for the collection came from wrapping a cord around the body. We can clearly see this influence throughout the line- but the fabrics and colors keep the dresses soft and romantic.
I am loving the light as air, bubblegum pink dresses with ruffled graphic necklines and knotted draping.

Then comes the white fabric, which is perfect for spring and summer. Ruffles that look like flowers give the shoulders volume and depth, but not to the point where it looks military. I love the easy to wear shirt dress with the ruffle skirt; throw on a blazer and you’re fit for the office!

Very frilly and very sexy, these are definitely girly dresses. Truly a very femine line. Now all I need is the warm weather, rather than this cold rainy winter in London. In the meantime I will be waiting patiently and day dreaming about pink frilly dresses.
