How did you discover BE?
Like many of our customers, Rachel says she discovered BE in the Purse Forum. “I was looking for a new brand that had luscious leather bags that I could fall in love with,” she recalls, “and I fell hard!”
What’s your favourite BE bag?
Rachel says her favourite style is the Charm Me Mini – she has three (in Petrol Matte, Cream Croc Stamped and Violet Glossy). She says she loves its structure, how it can hold everything she needs on a daily basis, fit over her shoulder, and look great no matter what she’s wearing. “I’ve carried one on business trips, daily to the office and even to play mini-golf,” she says. “I can’t imagine a leather that wouldn’t look great as a Charm Me Mini!”
If you could only have one style of handbag/purse, what style would it be and why?
Rachel says she loves the structured style of a satchel, because it fits everything she needs, and can be dressed up or dressed down for any occasion. “But I don’t think I can pick a favourite leather,” she says. “That’s like picking which of my bunnies is my favourite!”
What would be your dream weekend?
… a weekend in Toronto, Canada with her husband! “We could visit the St.Lawrence Market, the CN Tower, and maybe Casa Loma,” says Rachel. “I would have to make a trip to the Hockey Hall of Fame where I could spend hours. I’d love have my picture taken outside of Maple Leaf Gardens and catch a Maple Leafs game at the Air Canada Centre! And since we're in Canada, I’m getting a coffee and some Timbits from Tim Horton’s.” (Now that’s something a true Canadian would appreciate!)
What are your must-have beauty products?
“I’m extremely fair, so I wear a high SPF sun block year round,” says Rachel. “I use Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Moisturizer and Aveeno Daily Moisturizing Lotion with Sunblock each and every day. On sunny days or the summer time, I add a Neutrogena or Aveeno sunblock spray.” For makeup, she says simplicity is the way to go. She relies on MAC makeup to keep her fresh; her favourites are their Studio Fix Powder Plus Foundation and Plush Lash in Plushblack. “When I’m going out or want to look glamorous, I do a simple eye in MAC Naked Lunch and add MAC Red or MAC Russian Red lipstick,” she says.
Which fashion items are you lusting over for spring 2010?
“I really want a new trench coat,” says Rachel. “I lost some weight and my trusty old trench coat is looking too big. The trench is such a staple in my wardrobe. This year I’m thinking about trying something fun and trying a coloured coat, like purple or blue! I’m also looking for a really great pair of red heels.”
Where else do you love to indulge?
Rachel is a self-proclaimed ice hockey addict! “I love watching hockey, attending hockey games, talking about hockey, reading about hockey and learning more about hockey,” she says. “I love all ice hockey: NHL, AHL, International, Olympic, even the pee wee hockey they sometimes show between periods at hockey games. I don't have a favorite NHL hockey team, I've learned to love all the teams in their own way. I do support the local AHL hockey team, the Hershey Bears!”
