The Dress & Co. SS10 Collection
Tuesday, 23 March 2010 by Ashley TurowskyThe SS10 collection by The Dress & Co. is true to form- a charming mix of outerwear and delicate fabrics. Designer Hideaki Sakaguchi played with feminine and sporty contrasts this season. Turning out some pretty Victorian lace-frilled numbers and more urban fare such as drop-crotch sweatpants and sleeveless parkas.

The muted colors are really attractive and just lovely for spring, as are the clothes themselves. A delicate mosaic print was incorporated into a pretty sundress and matching tights. Soft silhouettes are created by layers of cotton and linen being draped into one another, with feminine ruffles and gatherings.

This collection is completely wearable, romantic yet casual with just enough originality. The combination of super-flirty and structure is effortless.

There was also a boyish charm to the designs; suspenders, ankle socks paired with oxford-style shoes, and vests. Emphasis was placed on the shoulders, with embellishments on loose cardigans, jackets, and dresses.
