Rock Me Midi Pewter
Monday, 03 May 2010 by Mommy MentorIt was like Christmas today when I received my big (well, big for me...) order from my favorite handbag designer, Belen Echandia. The first one I will share with you is my Rock Me Midi in Pewter Crash. I LOVE my Rock Me so figured adding a midi to my collection was a must.

Front picture of the Rock Me Midi...love that pewter crash!

Side shot of the Rock Me Midi. I really like how deep the Rock Me and Midi are - they are perfect for me!

The depth allows for a variety of things to sit flat on the bottom of the bag as opposed to being stacked on top of each other. I can fit my new Belen Echandia Zip Around Wallet, a medium Be Set with antibacterial wipes and snacks for my children, another pouch with my random goodies (I know...I need an Angel Purse), a case for my sunglasses, my Protect Me in the pocket, random other goodies in the secret pocket (on side of bags shown in bottom of pic), and still have plenty of room to toss in a water bottle.

Close up of the custom BE hardware...as always, a wonderful touch.

A close up of the tags...this is one of my favorite features of the Rock Me style. It has an edge to it that is so unique.

Side picture of me carrying the Rock Me Midi on my shoulder. I am size 6 and 5'7" to help you gauge size.

Front picture of the RM Midi worn on the shoulder. One thing I really enjoy about the large size of the full size Rock Me is that you can stuff it and it does not get puffy under your arm. However, as any bagophile knows, each bags serves its own purpose. :)

Front picture of the Rock Me Midi worn messenger style. This is very comfortable and reminds me of the Take Me Everywhere I used to have. A great size handbag for carrying this way.

And probably one of the most requested pictures in the history of FOMTA...
A comparison of the Rock Me and Rock Me Midi!

Here is the Rock Me and Rock Me Midi side by side. Right now my RM Midi feels much smaller than my RM. However, keep in mind that my Rock Me is all broken in as the lovely taupe matte smooshy leather that it is. You can see how the right side of the RM Midi does not "smoosh" or puddle yet.

Finally, here is the base of the Rock Me (bottom) and Rock Me Midi so you can see the difference.
The Rock Me Midi is a gorgeous and beautifully designed handbag. Since I do not mind carrying big bags, both my RM and RM Midi are daily bags. But when I feel like I need that extra room, I will carry my RM and when I want a smaller feel, the RM Midi will be perfect. Which one is better? Never ask...you will not like how much the answer costs. :)
