NARS Enchanted Blush
I’m typically not a fan of cream blushes, because I find they are smudgy and streaky along my cheeks ... but this is not the case with NARS’ Enchanted blush. I can’t wait until I have a bit more of a tan and can... Read more >>

No frizz

Friday, 16 April 2010 by Lydia Parafianowicz
I know too well how humidity can effect hair (hours spent styling instantly become useless), so I was intrigued when I stumbled upon the the No Frizz collection of products.

This unique line has been developed by Living Proof, a company that’s combining science and beauty to deliver products with superb results. Their team of scientists discovered that for the last 30 years, the key ingredient used for anti-frizz has been silicone. However, silicone doesn’t prevent humidity from entering the hair shaft, but weighs down hair with oil that leaves it greasy and actually allows humidity to penetrate.

The scientists at Living Proof were given the challenge to uncover a formula to combat frizz once and for all. Their result? PolyfluoroEster. It’s a mouthful to say, but this ingredient creates a weightless shield on hair to prevent moisture flux in and out.

The No Frizz line has nine fabulous products, all of which contain PolyfluoroEster, so you can treat and style your hair with this new miracle find! My favourite is their Moisture Restoring No Frizz Leave-In Conditioner smelled delicious and natural, and left my hair feeling super silky but not greasy. Best of all, every one of their products protects against heat from blow dryers, curling irons and flat irons. If your hair is particularly susceptible to frizz, try their daily humidity blocking, weightlessly hydrating, sulfate free No Frizz shampoo and conditioner set, which shield hair from the elements. Whether your hair is straight, curly, or somewhere in between, these products are sure to help make your mane more manageable.

$26 each, available exclusively at Sephora.
