John Masters is an American hairdresser whose career began in the 1970s. By the 1980s, his career was growing rapidly, but he also became increasingly concerned about inhaling harsh salon chemicals every day. In 1994 he opened the first clean-air salon in the world, where only ammonia-free hair colour is used and no toxic perms, hairspray or nail services are allowed. What an amazing concept!
I’ve tried his Bearberry Oily Skin Balancing Face Wash and fallen in love! There are 20 oil-fighting ingredients inside this powerful product, including the antiseptic willowbank extract and sapindus mukurossi, which suppresses bacteria. Following the wash, try the Bearberry Oily Skin Balancing & Toning Mist and the Bearberry Oily Skin Balancing Face Serum – both will leave your skin feeling fabulously clean and unclog pores. They are especially great for acne-prone skin.
I love that on the side of the box, it says ‘yes’ to certified organic, steam-distilled essential oils, hypo-allergenic, salon-tested, results-oriented, natural preservatives. Below this list, it reads ‘no’ to animal testing, parabens, sodium lauryl sulfates, petro-chemicals, synthetic fragrances, artificial colours, DEAs, MEAs, TEAs or GMOs. I love these John Masters Organics philosophies and think we should all try to emulate his natural beauty ideas in our lives!
