Stolen Thunder
Thursday, 26 August 2010 by Ashley TurowskyAre you looking for something to remind you of your childhood? Skipping rope, flying kites, birthday party balloons..? Stolen Thunder jewelery will do just that. Created by Alice Burlinson and Joy Frost, Stolen Thunder expresses the duo's fun playful imagination with their varied collection of jewellery from adorable childhood memories pictured in designs.
The line was born in England in 2007, as an antithesis to the consumer led hunger for cheap, mass-produced items without love of identity. Stolen Thunder's speciality is in creating fabulous and unique but wearable jewellery, with hand drawn graphics teamed with diverse materials such as cherry wood, supple Italian leather and vintage look chain.
The collection ranges from chunky cocktail rings and decorative charm bracelets, to cutesy handmade wooden necklaces and accessories.

One of my favorites is the Skipping Girl necklace. This lovely design is a work of art on your neck - the rope curves underneath the cute little girl and actually looks like she's skipping as you walk! The Babushka Russian cocktail ring also caught my eye. This Russian doll ring is so cute - take this little lady with you wherever you wish to go.

The Kite Girl necklace is perfect for summer featuring a little wooden girl flying her kite. The perfect length to for your festival wardrobe. This delightful handmade necklace is a moving story as your wear, the kite charm dips and flips as in real life!
Bonus is that most pieces are priced under £30, which allows you to get more than one if you are having trouble choosing.
