Must-Have Fall Fashion Picks (x10!)
Saturday, 28 August 2010 by Lydia ParafianowiczSpeaking from personal experience, heading into new seasons can be an overwhelming fashion experience! It's so hard to know where to begin with following new styles while not becoming a slave to trends (and thus needing to buy an entire new closet full of items twice yearly). For A/W 2010, I've narrowed my wish list to 10 top items, that I just can't go wrong with purchasing - and hopefully you'll feel a little inspiration. Happy shopping!

This is one of the IT pieces to have heading into fall! Best of all, a timeless piece like this will be wearable again and again for years to come.
Sportmax Double Breasted Camel Coat, $968.76, Matches Fashion

It’s all about texture with this fall trend! Faux fur and shearling are two great ways to get the look – and why not go bold while wearing them in vest form.
Millerostock Cream Mongolian Sheepskin Gilet, $541.20, My-Wardrobe

Satchel bags have been gaining popularity throughout this summer, and you can expect the trend to last straight through to winter. What better way to get the look than with our Treasure Me in nude. Mix-and-match the neutral colour with textures, shades and wild prints.
Nude Treasure Me, $695, Belen Echandia

Be it clogs or chunky wooden heels, this trend is hot, hot, hot. I love these Sam Edelman heels from My-Wardrobe, and can’t imagine how great they would look paired with dark skinny jeans and biker jacket.
Sam Edelman Black Fritz Platform Studded Clog, $222.75, My-Wardrobe

Alright, these may not be huge on the style radar (yet!) but I guarantee you’ll get lots of wear out of sleek, sexy gloves as the weather starts to chance. Check two trend check boxes at once and wear them in leather.
3.1 Phillip Lim Arbus Chain-Embellished Leather Gloves, $295, Net-A-Porter

Be it casual sweatpants or dressy work-friendly silky harems, these trousers are such an easy-to-wear trend. Mix with a smart blazer for work or casual tee on weekends.
Drape Pocket Harem Trousers, $80, Topshop

Make a wow statement as you head into party season. Go for lots of glitter, glitz and glam for a va-va-voom appeal!
Carnival Sequins Strapless Dress, $348, French Connection

Military is one of THE hot trends this autumn, and I love these utility-looking boots. With a high heel and peep toe, they are still super feminine. I can’t wait to wear them with stockings and lots of leopard print, to touch on two trends at once.
Tyms Shoe, $140, Aldo

Don’t wear just one! Statement rings are so on trend for autumn; don’t be too shy to wear many at the same time.
Alexander McQueen Large Skull Set Ring, $217, Farfetch

Channel your inner Maverick (a la Top Gun) with a leather aviator jacket.
Leather Aviator Jacket With Detachable Faux Fur Collar, $202.20, Asos
