TME Mottled Gold

When I purchased this bag during a recent sale I was a bit hesitant. The mottled gold leather scared me just a little even though I've seen it in real life and own a couple of accessories in it but would I like it in a larger bag, brand spanking new, not yet broken in? My fears were quickly put to rest when I opened the package the day it arrived! Yes, mottled gold is on the blingy side but it is gold after all! But it's not in your face and cheap looking. There is no brassiness to this bag as one might find on a cheaper leather. It is stunning! It's a soft, metalic gold with the slightest bit of mottled effect running throughout the surface of the bag. The leather itself is thick and what some call 'chewy' and softens wonderfully with use! It has a crinkled type of surface and even that has tamed with use as does the blingy-ness of the gold. I believe Jackie used the best word for the process of this leather breaking in- calming. And I must admit it has a calming effect on me when I gaze at it! It gives me the same feeling I have when gazing at the winter sky where I live when the air is crisp and cold but the sun is bright and amazing! I've carried this bag with me every day since I've received it which is unusual for me since I like to switch bags often! The size is fabulous, I never thought I'd wear a full size Take Me Everywhere but it fits perfectly! I have room to spare for additional items if I need them but I don't find the roominess to be annoying when looking for my belongings. And as always the fuchsia lining is gorgeous! There are a number of bags that look great in mottled gold and if you have a yearning for a little bit of sunshine in your life then I'd highly recommend a purchase of something in mottled gold! I am a very happy woman because of the addition of this bag in my collection! Thank you, BE!
