Wine Sheen MMS Midi

I have never been much of a bag person but BE's concept of beautiful, functional bags with an emphasis on quality leather instead of branding and logos caught my attention and I am so glad I took the plunge.

My first impression was that the bag is very well-made. The wine sheen leather is indeed gorgeous. The subtle glossy texture is just stunning up close and the colour is so rich, classy, versatile and flattering for a variety of skin tones. The MMS is a good balance of structure and slouch. I am impressed with how light it is and how it can hold quite a bit without looking bloated and losing its shape. I can comfortably fit a book, water bottle, wallet, makeup case, gloves and scarf and the shaped base makes everything easy to find. I think the secret compartment is a brilliant idea as the large middle opening and bright fuchsia lining catches quite a bit of (positive) attention.

I am 5'5", UK size 6 and the regular shoulder straps fit me well, even when the bag is quite full and worn over layers of thick winter clothes. I find that the zip can be hard to tug at sometimes and I am hoping that adding a charm or two will solve that.
