Love my Love Me Midi!

I received a notice from the Post Office Friday afternoon that I had a package waiting, so I was going to have to drive out to the Post Office Saturday morning (they are only open 8-10...yuck!) to pick it up. That night at dinner I got a fortune cookie that said "A four-wheeled adventure will soon bring you happiness." Hmm...a good sign. So Saturday morning I got up and headed to the PO, and it appeared to be deserted. The gate over the counter was down, and no one in sight. NOOOOOOOOO! I was sad, and walking around looking at the new stamps thinking my fortune cookie had seriously misled me, when I noticed a little blue door around the corner. On the door was a sign that said "insured pickups only, 8-10 a.m." WHAT??? I found a little doorbell looking thing and rang it, and LO...a little "mini-door" in the top of the little blue door opened and a lovely lady brought me a box. Greedily clutching my precious package, I left and drove straight home to open my new treasure...a stunning matte grey Love Me Midi!

At home I carefully opened the box, awaiting my first experience of BE leather goodness! It did not disappoint. The leather was thick, scrumptious, and the perfect deep chameleon grey that changes in different light. And for a midsize bag this is a big bag! The size is perfect, the color is fabulous, the handles and hardware are chunky and perfect for fall, and the shoulder strap is just the right length! I can easily fit my LV Zippy wallet and cosmetic pochette inside, along with my phone and checkbook, with plenty of room to spare. My four-key holder fits perfectly in one side pocket, and my work badges in the other with room for some lip glosses. And now I can find my car key and classroom key ring easily at the end of the key strap! I feel very organized. After one shopping excursion and a trip to a friend's house, I can happily report that she is absolutely fabulous. The best part of this bag is that I don't see it everywhere! The color, texture, thickness and style are unique, and I am looking forward to her debut at the office tomorrow. And thus begins my love affair with Belen Echandia...the first, but definitely not the last. I have already ordered a custom Hold Me, as well! The moral of the story: Never doubt a fortune cookie.
